About: Community Foundation Ocala Marion County

Founding Chairman Frank Hennessey

Breeder of Arabian Horses, businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist and devoted family man, Frank Hennessey of Hennessey Arabians LLC, and his wife of 47 years, Carol, have proudly called Ocala home for over five  years. A native of Massachusetts most recently from Detroit, his core philosophy centers on the premise that “there is never a good reason to do a bad thing”. He and Carol are the very proud parents of three grown children Kate, Frank Jr., and Michael.

A simple inquiry to the Chamber of Commerce – where is your local Community Foundation? – led to the formation of The Community Foundation for Ocala Marion County, Inc. Tapping into the extraordinary giving and caring nature of the Ocala Marion County community, Mr. Hennessey has created a local foundation that will attract those committed to philanthropic causes and who recognize their importance in community building – providing access and resources to all non-profit entities and the vital work that they do for the betterment of all.
