As the Grants Manager for the Community Foundation, Eric assists area nonprofits in the various stages of the grant process, including researching and generating proposal documents.
Eric hails from upstate New York’s Hudson Valley and recently relocated full time to Central Florida. He holds a Master’s degree in Humanistic Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Eric initially worked in college student personnel services before transitioning to a 34-year career in human services at two distinct non-profit agencies.
He has extensive grant writing experience and worked as a news and sports reporter at The Daily Freeman in his hometown of Kingston, N.Y. for 17 years. He has a keen interest in mental health issues and animal rescue, volunteering with organizations such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Old Friends at Cabin Creek, Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and the Racetrack Chaplaincy of New York.
