In her current role as President & Executive Director of the Community Foundation, she helps to build and cultivate the relationships between potential donors and the community.

Originally a Louisville, Kentucky native, Lauren graduated from the University of Louisville College of Business with a degree in Finance. She worked 8 years in public accounting before taking time off to start a family. As her children got older, she became involved with various local and regional non-profit organizations like the Junior League of Ocala, the Marion County Medical Society Alliance, the Florida Medical Association Alliance, Fine Arts for Ocala and the ARC Marion Foundation. During that time, she helped those organizations to restructure their finance policies and organization structure.

She served on the board of directors for the Public Education Foundation of Marion County before accepting the position of Fund Development Director in November of 2011.
