For nearly 40 years, The Nutcracker has served as an iconic holiday tradition in the Ocala/Marion County community. In 2019, volunteers formed the Marion Ballet Collaborative to ensure the show will continue to go on for years to come. Donations to the Marion Ballet Collaborative go to fund costume creation and rentals, theater space rentals, set materials, lighting equipment, sound equipment and more. Following the 2019 performances of the newly formed Collaborative, plans include inviting dance students from across the county to audition for future performances. We value the teaching and sharing of the arts through dance among children in our community. Our vision will spread the arts focus, promoting and sharing values, culture, performance, leadership and a sense of community. Through your help and donations, the Collaborative can continue to help make a little bit of magic every year in the place we call home.
Gifts by check can be made payable to Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County and dropped off or mailed to 324 SE 24th Street, Ocala, FL 34471. Make sure to write “Marion Ballet Collaborative Fund” on the Memo line.
