Mission: Solve the homeless pet problem in our community

What began as a desire to help stem the tide of homeless pets in our community has given birth to a vision that is much more comprehensive in its scope. Offering low cost spay-neuter and shelter care to our community proved to be a good starting point, but we recognized that the sheltering system as we knew it needed to change.

In addition to our shelter, our services are aligned to assist the unsheltered, help the good Samaritans who find strays with services to help them and focus on keeping people and pets together whenever possible.

Our affordable veterinary services are available to any pet owner, rescue or shelter. Often, we are able to help very low- income owners in need of financial assistance.  Our surgeons are skilled in spay-neuter surgery as well as other specialty surgeries.

Our food program in partnership with Chewy is feeding animals in 10 counties, providing financial relief from food costs to over 70 rescues and shelters.

Our Trap, Neuter and Return program (TNR) provides sterilization and basic vetting to thousands of community cats annually.

Of course, we also adopt out homeless dogs and cats to carefully selected homes where they will be loved, cared for and thrive.

At VOCAL we believe that every animal needs an advocate, every person deserves compassion and that every life matters.
