The Inspire Gala, hosted by The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, celebrates the transformative power of philanthropy and highlights the incredible work of local nonprofits. Launched as an annual tradition, the gala serves as a platform to honor outstanding individuals, businesses, and organizations that have significantly impacted the community through charitable giving and service. Over the years, the event has evolved into a cornerstone for uniting community leaders, donors, and nonprofit professionals, fostering collaboration and inspiration. The evening showcases powerful stories of change, highlights innovative initiatives, and raises vital funds to support the foundation’s mission. The Inspire Gala is more than an event, it’s a testament to the community’s commitment to creating a brighter, more connected future for Ocala/Marion County.

We at The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County are looking forward to honoring members of our community for their outstanding efforts to create change and leave a lasting impact.

We will recognize an individual from each of these categories:

  • Youth Philanthropist of The Year
  • Emerging Nonprofit
  • Nonprofit Board Member of The Year
  • Nonprofit of The Year
  • Corporate Partner of The Year
  • The Unsung Hero
  • Philanthropist of The Year
  • Frank Martin Hennessey Award
  • Luminary Award – Estate Planning Council of Marion County

Award nominations will be sent to another Community Foundation outside of our county for voting. Nominees will have their names redacted and will be assigned a number to ensure voting is based on merit and their contributions to the community through their dedication, time and resources to create a better Marion County.

Please be sure to review all guidelines for nominations, category requirements, and complete all information.

We respect the privacy of our local philanthropists and understand that

not every person within our community is comfortable with being recognized. Each nominee will be called and given the opportunity to have their nomination pulled if they choose. The entity who submitted the nomination will remain anonymous within the Community Foundation.

The top three nominees for each category will be notified of being a finalist and will be given the opportunity to attend the Gala with a guest.
