Support the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research
For 37 years, the Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research, Inc. has proudly followed our mission, “To ensure a strong local/regional effort in the fight against cancer, through funding research and education”.
To date, the Ocala Royal Dames have raised over $4,000,000 and have provided $125,000 grants annually to cancer researchers at the University of Florida Cancer Institute and Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. In many cases, this “seed” money has resulted in tremendous success in the fight against cancer, including the drug Keytruda and Proton Therapy.
In addition to research grants, ORD partners with the College of Central Florida to sponsor “ShopTalk”. This is an opportunity for our community to learn more from our researcher partners and experts in the field of cancer research and treatment.
The Ocala Royal Dames for Cancer Research, Inc. is a totally volunteer group that raises funds through our annual Gala, annual giving, dues and the generous giving of our dedicated partners in our community. Ocala Royal Dames Agency Funds go towards our ongoing mission to provide funding for cancer research and education. Looking to leave a legacy gift, our Endowment Fund is an ability for donors to provide funding directly towards research, creating a lasting legacy and impacting our ability to help find a cure for cancer.
Gifts by check can be made payable to Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County and dropped off or mailed to 324 SE 24th Street, Ocala, FL 34471. Make sure to designate “Ocala Royal Dames Agency Fund” or “Ocala Royal Dames Endowment Fund” on the Memo line.
