What Is Your Nonprofit Passion? Social Media Contest

The One Passion at a Time contest on our Facebook page garnered votes for 100 different Marion County nonprofits. The video post was shared 625 times. Gentle Carousel received more than 1,300 of the 3,300 votes cast. Thanks to everyone who participated and showed us just how much our community cares for our nonprofits. We continue to build a stronger community…one passion at a time!

Official Facebook Contest Rules

  1. Name of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization should be listed in the comments under the posted contest video from October 1, 2019.
  2. To be counted as a vote, comments must be made by individuals or Facebook business pages. Those commenting multiple times with the same nonprofit will not be counted more than once.
  3. Individuals or businesses may comment more than once if each comment contains a different nonprofit name.
  4. Likes on comments will not be counted toward vote totals, only new comments.
  5. Contest runs from 12:00 a.m. October 1, 2019 to 11:59 p.m. October 10, 2019.
  6. Only nonprofits in Marion County, Florida are eligible for prize.
  7. Liking the Community Foundation Ocala Marion County page (@OcalaFoundation) is recommended but not required.
  8. No purchase (or donation) necessary.
  9. Membership in the NonProfit Business Council is not required for nonprofit eligibility.
  10. $1,000 prize will be given as a business check to the name of the nonprofit organization only and will not be distributed to any individual, small business or other entity.
  11. Cash prize donated was to the Community Foundation by anonymous donors.
  12. Facebook does not sponsor or endorse this contest, and Facebook is released from any liability in the Facebook contest of the Community Foundation Ocala Marion County.
