A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE FL PHILANTHROPIC NETWORK sharing statewide resources regarding Disaster Philanthropy Resources...Here in Ocala Marion County a focused collaborative effort is underway through our local governments, law enforcement and the non profit and civic sectors to protect our community and its citizens from this dangerous storm...with heartfelt thanks to everyone and, most importantly, STAY SAFE OUT THERE!
Friends and colleagues,
As we monitor Hurricane Irma's path to and through Florida, our state's charitable sector has already begun hurricane preparedness efforts, and nonprofits and foundations are getting ready to aid communities that suffer damage from the storm.
Florida Philanthropic Network is working directly with the Center for Disaster Philanthropy to coordinate relief and recovery responses from the philanthropic community. Here at FPN, we've compiled disaster philanthropy resources for funders and will continue to provide updates on Hurricane Irma response efforts.
To share information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Florida Philanthropic Network will be closed on Friday, September 8, and Monday, September 11, in anticipation of the potential impact of Hurricane Irma. Our FPN is taking all necessary precautions to safeguard our staff, facilities and technology while remaining as accessible as possible to our members and partner organizations.
Our team is on standby to support efforts for an effective philanthropic response. Do not hesitate to reach out if you need to get in touch with us.
