COMMUNITY FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH MCA’S APPLAUD THE
ARTS
TO CREATE MATCHING GIFT FUND FOR Marion Disaster
Recovery Network
The
Community Foundation for Ocala Marion County is honored to partner with Marion
Cultural Alliance in supporting local Hurricane Irma recovery efforts. MCA has announced that 50% of ticket sales
from the 10th Annual Applaud
the Arts event will be donated to the Marion
Disaster Recovery Network to assist our citizens impacted by Hurricane Irma.
Through
the generosity of our board members and donors, the Community Foundation has
established a Matching Gift Disaster Recovery Fund that will match up to $5000 of
the generous donations raised by MCA through this their signature event that
this year will also pay tribute to all first responders, linesmen and law
enforcement officers.
Founding
Chairman Frank Hennessey of Hennessey Arabians noted that “in keeping with our
mission of community building through philanthropy, we are honored to be an
integral partner with MCA in community outreach through the creative power of
the arts”.
